I am an illustrator and storyteller who creates colorful, magical worlds using traditional watercolor.

My work centers on ‘Sad Bear and Sassy Cat’, a story of an unlikely friendship between two different souls navigating a world that is dangerous yet beautiful, mystical yet understandable. I love to explore the themes of cultural diversity, folklore, and unwavering hope, ranging from the mythical shrines of Thailand to landscapes across Asia. These are evidence of how friendship can be born despite all differences.

I hope ‘Sad Bear and Sassy Cat will be a safe haven that brings joy, melancholy, and comfort to audiences of all ages.

Visit Kudi Chin

Kudi Chin is a vibrant, multicultural neighborhood in Bangkok where diverse faiths have lived in harmony for over 200 years.

Sad Bear and Sassy Cat visit this historically area, walking among Santa Cruz Church, the Kian Un Keng Chinese Shrine, Bang Luang Mosque, and Kalayanamitr Temple.

Taking in the peaceful coexistence of different cultures, Sassy Cat softly says, “This is so peaceful.”

Morning at Busy Office Building

As the city grows, the faith stands.

Sad Bear and Sassy Cat is going to find a nice meal. They stop to ask for direction at True Digital Park in Bangkok, a bustling modern office complex in Bangkok.

Despite the growth of city and skyscrapers, Wat Tham Mongkhon stands tall in background, greeting the first sunlight of morning.

Legend of the Golden Mount

In a fantastical twist on Thai history, simple old shophouses near the Golden Mount are reimagined into a mystical community of Art Nouveau architecture and mechanical Steampunk wonders.

About two centuries ago during a devastating cholera outbreak, vultures at Wat Saket famously gathered to dispose of the overwhelming remains. As time flies, the horror fades, but the legend evolves.

Here, Sad Bear and Sassy Cat step into alternative reality to visit a secret society of plague doctors and vultures, a community that has quietly coexisted in the shadows since the Victorian era.

Chaos at Yaowarat

The booming sounds of firecrackers echo through the morning of the Lunar New Year, marking the arrival of the Year of the Horse.

To escape a chaotic firecracker monster unleashed by the celebration, Sad Bear, Sassy Cat, and their Slime companions must ride imaginative, fantastical steeds: Nil Mangkorn, Banana-leaf horse, and UniCORN!

A Gate to Ghost Town

Inspired by San Chao Leng Buay Eia, where it is hiding in small alley near Yaowarat, the enigmatic translates to Ghost Town Gate.

In this scene, Sad Bear and Sassy Cat step into the Ghost Town in search of Bow Bear, Sad Bear’s missing sister.

Moogata at Ghost Town

Everyone loves Thai Barbeque, even ghosts do.

Sad Bear and Sassy Cat stops by Talisman Bear’s barbeque shop. They enjoy eating while gathering information of missing sister of Sad Bear.

Bread Shop Full of Hope

For Bow Bear, the comforting aroma of freshly baked bread is a smell of hope.

After finally reunited with Bow Bear, Sad Bear and Sassy Cat help her run her bread shop, gently picking up a once shattered dream back in a piece.

Generation Gap?

At the cozy wooden café in Bangkok, Sad Bear and Sassy cat enjoy their drink and dessert. However, a grandma nearby views the intentionally warm, vintage decor quite differently. To her, it feels old and shabby.

This piece explores differing perspectives and is featured in 'My Grandma’s Encyclopedia' zine.

The Mystery of Departed Cat

When pets pass away, their spirits are freed to a journey without limits.

While Sad Bear and Sassy Cat investigate a mysterious sculpture in a supermarket, Naughty Cat whispers, "They say cat spirits who were loved in life become incredibly mischievous among the stars."

This sculpture is an "answer" left by a departed pet. It tells us they are perfectly happy in a world without rules, a world where freely kneading dough in a supermarket is possible.

Among Jellyfish

"How are we different from jellyfish?" Sassy Cat wonders while swimming among them.

Jellyfish have no arms or legs; they simply float freely with the currents. Watching from afar, Sad Bear reflects on human existence. While jellyfish are entirely free, they drift without a predetermined destination. Humans, however, seek purpose.

The lingering question remains: ‘What is your purpose?
