| Yodchattinyline (Yodchat Bupasiri) is a Bangkok-based art practitioner and facilitator born in Nakhon Phanom. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University (2009) and earned a certification from Jesús Cisneros’s illustration course at the Scuola Internazionale d’Illustrazione di Sàrmede in Italy (2017). Her professional development also includes participating in the artist residency program at Sandwich Studio in Kyoto, Japan, in 2011. In her practice, she dedicatedly supports textual interpretation through the co-creative process of ‘Collective Reading, Writing & Art Making,’ aiming to embrace awareness and establish safe physical and mental spaces for expressing opinions at both individual and interpersonal levels. ////////// Her artistic journey features an extensive array of international group exhibitions. She participated in the Showcase Exhibition at the Children’s Picture Book Festival at TCDC, Bangkok (2023), and the online exhibition "The Enclosed Garden" by Heroines’ wave (2020). Her work has been showcased at the Alliance française de Bangkok for "Spirou4Rights & Marsu4Nature" (2019), and multiple editions of the International Exhibition of Illustration "The colors of the sacred" in Italy, including "il corpo" at Museo Diocesano di Padova (2018), "A tavola" at Museo Africano in Verona (2016), and "il viaggio" at Museo Diocesano di Padova (2014). Additionally, she joined the "FEMALE PERSPECTIVES IN COMICS" exhibition with Spring Magazin at the Goethe-Institut Bangkok and Fathom Bookspace (2017), the "Aladdin's Magic Lamp Illustration Exhibition" at Museo Alto Garda in Italy (2016), and various iterations of the Sharjah exhibition for children book's illustrations in the United Arab Emirates (2013, 2016, 2017). Her early achievements include being selected for the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (2012) and its subsequent World Tour with JBBY across various museums in Japan. ////////// As a facilitator under the concept "YOUR VOICES, YOUR INTERPRETATIONS," Yodchattinyline has collaborated closely with artists, publishers, alternative cultural spaces, and public and private cultural organizations both locally and internationally between 2014 and 2026. She designs "cultural text" interpretation activities for both adults and children, focusing on diverse content that spans individual, social, cultural, and political dimensions. Her notable projects within children's picture books include "Move Your Body" at the Sharjah Reading Festival (2014) and "The Kitty Crew's Trip to the Pudding Shrine" with SanpraphaV & Barefoot Banana, supported by the Goethe-Institut Thailand (2025). In the realm of short stories, contemporary literature, and local folklore, she has facilitated activities such as Franz Kafka’s "Betrachtung" at the Bangkok Book Festival (2015), "Made-Up Myths" with CREAM Bangkok (2025), and "An Invitation to Audition for the Role of 'Testimony in the Spirit House Court' to Receive Merit, Fruits-and-Memes" for the "Chai Dai" project by inappropriate BOOK CLUB & Namkheun (2026). ////////// Furthermore, her practice extends to religious scriptures, evidenced by her facilitation of "Sparkling, Shining, and Beautifully Clear to the Mind" — an invitation to read the Avatamsaka Sutra with the Bodhinandapradipa Group under the Mahaprajnaparamita Foundation and ThaiHealth (2025). Her work with architecture and environmental contexts includes "Museum of MANY MANY THINGS" with CREAM Bangkok (2020) and "Who Will Be the Guest of Khun Mhee Mab?" at the Children’s Picture Book Festival (2024). Lastly, her collaboration on artworks and art exhibitions highlights "(OUR) FAMILY TREE WORKSHOP" for Pinaree Sanpitak’s "HOUSE CALLS" exhibition at the 100 Tonson Foundation (2020), and "Can’t We Recruit? Wipa is trolling... Wipa and the Institution of Deceptive Methods" for Sina Wittayawiroj’s exhibition "Can't We Recant?" at Kinjai Contemporary (2026). |
