Astrid — Illustrator & Picture Book Author
Astrid's work is warm, gentle, delicate, and richly imaginative. She specializes in visual storytelling, guiding viewers from the image itself into deeper layers of emotion and memory.
She was selected as a Top 100 Emerging Talent at the Creative Expo Taiwan in both 2025 and 2026, and is a mentee in the 6th Cohort of "Leaders 100." In recent years she has collaborated with 30+ brands and institutions, including Fnac, iPrimo, Maoup, Giraffe English, and numerous publishing houses.

If I were your shadow, you would be my lunar eclipse.

Everyone lives between two selves —
one standing in the light, seen by others;
one hidden in the shadow, known only to oneself.
The shadow is not darkness,
but another truth we choose to reveal.
It might be a suit of armor, a longing,
a response to the world,
or the self we haven't yet found the courage to admit.

Shadow of the Night

It is a shadow that only appears at night,
quiet, hidden, rarely noticed by anyone.
But every deep night,
when it quietly climbs onto the rooftop and looks up at the stars,
it no longer feels invisible —
the stars gaze at it, and it gazes back at the stars,
and in that moment, it knows: it is seen.

Shadow Wonderland

We all live as more than one self —
the shadow of daylight, the shadow of night,
and the self standing in between, trying to belong.
This wonderland holds every version of you,
because a whole self was never meant to be just one shape.

Migratory Birds

Migratory birds fly across the sky in every color,
and no one truly knows where they are headed.
People wait an entire year, just for this one day —
looking up at them,
as if they too had become free birds,
savoring the taste of flight beneath the open sky.

Even the Masterpieces Couldn't Escape

In those years when the pandemic raged,
even the world's greatest masterpieces had to wear masks to protect themselves.
In the museum, a mother walks her child
quietly past painting after painting, each "fully armored" —
Turns out, vulnerability is something all of humanity shares,
no matter who you are, or which century you were painted in.
