| Hi, I’m HAIHAITOON. I am a painter. I’ve loved cartoons since I was young and I still do. I enjoy designing cartoon characters. Nowadays, my artwork is mostly in greyscale. Greyscale allows me to convey stories, emotions, and feelings without using color, inspired by the era of black-and-white television. My surroundings and imagination work together to inspire the scenes in my paintings. One of my recurring characters is “BUGHUM,” the earthworm. I often feature BUGHUM and his friends in my work. “BUGHUM and Friends” represent the small creatures that are part of this world. Even though they bring benefits and beauty to the Earth, they are often overlooked and harmed by larger beings such as humans. I aim to highlight the importance of the small creatures around us. That’s why I created characters based on these tiny lives in my artwork to help people see, recognize, and appreciate the value of smaller beings. To see their worth and the importance of every living thing on this planet. |

It reflects the struggle for survival and the uprising against injustice.When humans, blinded by power and possession, ignite endless wars, the small, oppressed creatures unite and rise up in resistance.
Yet in the end, even though the small creatures triumph over the mighty humans, war still leaves its scars both on body and on mind.
