Hi, I'm Hicchiru, an illustrator and narrative world-builder based in Malaysia.

I'm currently building Yukurii's Diary—an ongoing narrative world that explores life through original characters and illustrated stories.

I create narrative worlds that explore life's quiet questions through illustrated stories and everyday observations. As someone who is endlessly curious and often overwhelmed by life's questions, I use art and storytelling to explore the beautiful messiness of being human.

Rather than searching for certainty, I explore life's questions with curiosity, allowing each story chapter to become part of an ongoing journey of understanding life.

Through my characters and stories, I invite people to step into these worlds—not to escape reality, but to return to it with a little more curiosity, tenderness, and wonder.

We're always rushing for something, it feels hard to keep up with everything.

Hug me apple

Hug Me Apple from the "Life Groceries" series
This little apple doesn't know anything...

But what it does know is:
"Don't eat me. Hug me and bring me home!!"

A non-edible apple made only for hugging, bringing a little comfort from the "Life Groceries Market."

Resting Carrot

Resting Carrot from the "Life Groceries" series

Even carrots need to rest too.

A tiny reminder to slow down and take a little break when we need it. 🍃

Also... why is there a daikon hiding inside as an imposter?! 👀

We might bought a little too much, but time with you is never too much.

Life Groceries is a playful series where everyday grocery items represent the feelings and little needs we have in daily life — like peace, rest, and comfort.
