| Sukerthing is an artist duo consisting of Karn Visarankul and Anusit Somprasertsri. The two first met while studying Jewelry Design at the Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University. After graduation, they each pursued full-time careers before eventually reuniting to create art together. Their first collaborative work was the sculpture Balloon Ganesha, which became the starting point of their artistic journey. Since then, Sukerthing has continuously expanded its creative practice, evolving from sculpture into art toys, character design, paintings, and illustration. Their work explores the boundary between imagination and contemporary pop culture, transforming familiar forms into playful yet thought-provoking visual narratives. |

ฺ2- Balloon Ganesha Blessing
The second version of Balloon Ganesha draws inspiration from the iconic blessing gesture of Lord Ganesha (Varada Mudra), reinterpreting this traditional pose through a contemporary balloon form. We also explored a different material, resin, which allowed us to experiment with a wider range of colors and create a surface quality that more closely resembles the playful appearance of balloons.
3- Balloon Ganesha Gang
Expanding beyond the original Balloon Ganesha sculpture, we evolved the project into a character design series. Alongside Balloon Ganesha, the collection introduces a cast of companion characters, including Maneki-neko, Mushika (Lord Ganesha's sacred mouse), and Nang Kwak, all interpreted through the same contemporary balloon-inspired aesthetic.
4.-Still Life Balloon Ganesha
This series was created to expand the world of Balloon Ganesha beyond sculpture and into the realm of still life painting. By placing Balloon Ganesha within a carefully composed interior, the work explores its relationship with space, light, and the quiet passage of time.Each painting captures a different moment of the day, from the gentle light of morning to the warm glow of dusk. As the light changes, Balloon Ganesha takes on different moods and personalities, inviting viewers to experience the subtle beauty of everyday moments.
Rather than simply depicting an object, the series celebrates the dialogue between form, light, atmosphere, and emotion. It transforms Balloon Ganesha from a sculpture into a timeless presence, quietly inhabiting a space where art and daily life become one.
5.Say Hi or Last Goodbye
The painting invites viewers to reflect on the fragile boundary between arrival and departure, reminding us that every “hello” may eventually contain a “goodbye,” and every farewell may leave space for another beginning.
6.Under the Same Sky
The work suggests that emotions are shaped not by time or place, but by perspective. Even when we share the same reality, each of us carries a different emotional landscape. Through this contrast, the painting becomes a meditation on perception, distance, and the deeply personal nature of experience.
7.Falling Into Grace
Falling Into Grace explores the idea that falling is not always the end. Inspired by the image of a descent from heaven, the work questions the belief that failure, loss, or rejection must lead to darkness. Instead, it imagines that beneath every ending lies another place ready to receive us.
8.Break the Mold
Break Free marks a turning point in the evolution of my artistic practice. While Balloon Ganesha became the foundation of my visual language, this work represents a conscious step beyond that identity, expanding the balloon aesthetic into a broader universe of original characters.Inspired by the raw energy of rock music, the piece becomes a metaphor for creative liberation. Just as music allows emotions to be released without restraint, this character embodies the freedom to explore beyond established forms while preserving the playful sculptural language of balloon art.
9.Beyond the Horizon
Beyond the Horizon reflects the courage to leave behind what is familiar in search of new experiences. Just as an explorer ventures beyond the edge of the known world, the balloon character embarks on a journey through an unknown universe, driven by curiosity rather than certainty.
10.Weightless
Weightless explores the quiet solitude that often accompanies moments of self-reflection. Floating alone in the vastness of space, the balloon character appears suspended between movement and stillness, disconnected from the familiar world yet gently embraced by the silence of the universe.
