Welcome to Extrocats—a safe little world inspired by Suwi, Inis, and Abang, three lovable cats based on my real-life companions. Through original illustrations and playful collectibles, Extrocats transforms everyday life in Indonesia into stories filled with warmth, humor, and nostalgia. We hope every piece brings you a little closer to your inner child and reminds you that joy can often be found in life’s simplest moments.

My First Job

Back then, under the scorching midday sun, I tried selling for the very first time, simple lemon soda that I made myself. With just plastic bottles and a few ice cubes, I stood in front of my house, hoping someone would stop by and buy.

I felt a mix of shyness, nervousness, and excitement. Every time someone made a purchase, I felt so proud, as if my effort truly mattered. Even though the profit was small, that moment became a sweet memory about learning to be brave, independent, and to feel the reward of my own hard work at such a young age.

Tahu Bulat

That afternoon, I was just relaxing at home when I suddenly heard a familiar voice from afar, “tahu bulat… freshly fried…” Without thinking, I ran outside, curious just like the other kids who were chasing after the seller’s truck. It’s true tahu bulat is usually sold from a moving pickup truck with its iconic jingle that everyone recognizes.

In the middle of laughter and chatter with friends, that simple snack felt special. It wasn’t just about the taste, but the moment itself, joining a viral street food trend, waiting patiently, and enjoying how something so simple could bring so much happiness.

Tradisional Market

Most iconic about Indonesia, the memory of coming stop by, felt warmth by the people itself. Indonesian traditional markets are not just places to earn a living, but also spaces full of stories about life, togetherness, and a warmth that can never be replaced.

Snack Time

One of Indonesia’s favorite street snacks, telur gulung is loved for its simple flavors and affordable price. This illustration captures the joy of enjoying freshly made telur gulung by a peaceful lakeside, where good food, fresh air, and beautiful scenery come together to create the perfect afternoon.

Chasing Dreams

Cappadocia has always been a dream destination, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and colorful hot air balloons. This illustration imagines Suwi, Inis, and Abang finally sharing that adventure together. While Suwi and Inis admire the beautiful view, Abang gets a little too excited and nearly falls out of the basket—turning a dream trip into a hilarious memory they’ll never forget.

Dry Season, 2005

Inspired by the unforgettable dry season of 2005, this illustration captures the feeling of long, sun-drenched afternoons in Indonesia. Sitting in front of an electric fan, singing along to your favorite songs, sipping a glass of iced drink, while the warm breeze carries the scent of leaves and ripening tropical fruits through the window. A simple moment that reminds us how childhood summers were filled with comfort, imagination, and life’s little joys.

Traffic Jam

A red light in Indonesia often becomes a small stage. For just a few minutes, young street performers share their talents with passing vehicles before the light turns green again. This illustration reflects a familiar scene that is both lively and bittersweet, reminding us of the many different stories unfolding in everyday life.

Fishing Noon

Back then, after school, my friends and I would often run to the rice fields barefoot, carrying simple fishing rods made from bamboo. We sat along the field edges, waiting for small fish to bite while joking around and laughing freely.

Sometimes we went home empty-handed, sometimes with tiny catches that made us feel like great fishermen, but what mattered most wasn’t the result, it was the memories we shared under the warm afternoon sky.

Round and Round

With Babos busy at work, Suwi, Inis, and Abang set off on their own little adventure to Do Fun. From trying exciting rides to sharing endless laughter, every moment became a memory worth keeping. This illustration captures a quiet pause on the carousel—a reminder that the happiest days are often the ones spent together with the people you love.

Family Day

Some memories never lose their warmth. This illustration revisits a family day at the park, where bubbles floated through the afternoon air and every laugh felt effortless. Originally illustrated last year, this redraw celebrates both a cherished memory and the creative journey of bringing it to life once again.
