Hi, I'm Banana Blah Blah 🍌

I'm a freelance illustrator based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I started out in Bangkok working in digital, drawing the characters and everyday city life around me.

A few years ago I moved to Chiang Mai — and that quietly changed everything. I put down the screen, picked up a real brush, and started exploring watercolour, linocut, and acrylic. The slower pace and quietness here gave me space to reflect and grow closer to myself. Each medium taught me to slow down, embrace imperfection, and turn inward.

Now my work is a reflection of my inner world — and a mindfulness practice — a way to be present with myself, and accept things as they are.

Really happy to meet you here 🌿

Art in The PARQ

Log out, Look in.
A gathering of people who came for art — and found a quiet moment with themselves. In the stillness of making, something shifts. A small discovery that was always there, just waiting to be noticed.

Movement in Stillness

Moving with awareness in every moment
Inspired by the rhythm of everyday life — the quiet practice of staying present in each action. Whenever we drift away from ourselves, we return through the simple act of breathing. Inhale. Exhale. A gentle reminder that we are here.

Earth,Water,Air,Fire

We are a part of nature.
Every day, different states arise within us. Some days we feel steady like earth. Some days we flow gently like water. Some days we feel light and free like air. Some days we burn bright like fire. None of it lasts. Each state passes, making way for the next. All we can do is notice, understand, and embrace whatever arises — because all of it is part of us.

Unwind

Relax with nature. Learn to quiet your mind, embrace the silence, and listen closely to your inner voice.

Visual Diary

Practicing drawing to reflect feelings and experiences
A small daily practice — observing your own thoughts and emotions through drawing. Like keeping a journal, but in images. A space to draw what comes from within, honestly and freely.

Let it flow with the breath

I practice drawing free-flowing lines by staying focused on the present. Drawing line by line with every breath, there is no plan for how the picture will turn out. I practice trusting my intuition and dancing together with the brush and paper.

Find your balance

Moving between two sides, live in balance. When we feel too close to one side, we must look at the other. Just like the Buddha said to walk the middle way—I think this is what balance is.

Soulful circle

An image of people moving freely, connecting both with themselves and with others.

The Quiet Journey

To me, death is like my own quiet journey. We let go of our bodies, release everything, and depart peacefully and beautifully.
