Lam’s work explores the ever-changing “distances” between people and between humans and the world. Using individual experience as an experimental starting point, she transforms emotions, relationships, and daily perceptions into visual structures that can be observed and participated in. Her works often use color, symbols, and narrative fragments to investigate psychological experiences and social states that are difficult to express directly. Lam employs participatory mechanisms and media translation as key strategies, converting language, text, and social issues into visual and behavioral expressions. This allows abstract experiences to flow across media and be re-perceived. Her practice spans illustration, graphic design, conceptual art, performance, and video, with color tension and narrative abstraction as her core visual language. She has held a solo exhibition Flowing Colors in Guangzhou, and her works have been exhibited in Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’an, Yunnan, and Milan, Italy.
