| Hi, I'm Myra! As a Thai-Taiwanese illustrator inspired heavily by nostalgia, Impressionism, and mundane things in life, I believe art has the ability to connect people from all walks of life. While my practice now is mainly traditional (involving acrylics, watercolor, and drawing), I frequently experiment with other mediums to explore each of their unique characteristics. My works explore distinct and vibrant color schemes and asymmetrical compositions visually while conceptually exploring our innermost emotions represented by the symbolism of everyday objects. |

Dead Fish on Fire
Inspired by the phrase: “you are what you eat”, painted at a time in my life when i felt as dead as the fish on this plate, still on fire.This painting speaks of a certain hopelessness that comes with the uncertainty that lies in all material happenings and the food that slowly loses its meaning the more you fall into despair.
Dead Fish Drowning on Land
The five headless fish on the plate supposedly represents a feeling of insanity that we all embody as humans.In certain moments in life, we feel as if we are drowning on air, served to others as a spectacle ready to be devoured.
An Insatiable Hunger
A visual representation of my all-consuming relationship with food.Oftentimes, my hunger feels like a black hole that can never be satiated. this unhealthy relationship also points to the double-edged sword that comes with human nature and desire.
