| Tri Haryoko Adi, known as UncleJoy, is an Indonesian artist based in Bali. Beginning his career as a street artist creating graffiti and urban murals, he has since expanded his practice into drawing, doodling, abstract painting, and paper-mâché sculpture made from recycled materials. Drawing, however, remains at the core of his artistic language. His work is recognized for its playful, naïve aesthetic, featuring strange characters, organic shapes, bold lines, and vibrant colours. Inspired by childhood memories, everyday life, traditional Indonesian graphic elements, Japanese robots, vintage cartoons, and street culture, he creates imaginative worlds where nostalgia meets curiosity. Through drawing and doodling, UncleJoy transforms ordinary experiences into visual stories filled with humour, wonder, and optimism. |

Living System imagines a world where machines and creatures evolve together. Every shape represents an individual character, yet each one depends on the others to keep the whole system alive.
Echoes in motion
This illustration imagines culture as a living machine, constantly rebuilt through movement, memory, and play. Mechanical elements coexist with organic characters, while repeating graphic patterns subtly reference traditional Southeast Asian ornamentation and handcrafted design.Rather than preserving tradition as a static image, the work transforms familiar visual rhythms into a contemporary language inspired by street art and spontaneous drawing.

Bird of Memories imagines a mythical creature built from machines, architecture, and fragments of forgotten stories. The work invites viewers to see dignity in ordinary labor and to recognize the unseen people who carry not only goods, but also the stories, memories, and daily life of a community.
