My practice began through years of living and moving alongside my companion dogs, Milk and TT. It did not begin as a predesigned fictional universe. Scattered images and narrative fragments gradually gathered into stories, which later became MILK MILK, a series of silent hand-bound zines. Within each story, cropped views formed a provisional sequence before the full scene changed what seemed to have happened.

The stories later found their way into paper-built television programs, breathless tabloids, deadpan radio broadcasts and the dubious civic paperwork of MILK CITY.

In MILK TV PRESS, an incident or remark is recast through headlines and public roles until the city has a workable version. TT’s Illusion Show brings the same impulse into the illusion of control. Signals, assigned roles and repeated gestures convince humans that they are directing the arrangement, while their participation keeps it in place.

MILK CITY keeps the same old loop visible: an entire machinery of order and comfort can be built around the small, frightened wish to remain blameless.

Milk and TT are not allegorical substitutes for human beings. They remain specific lives around which the work has grown. Their presence unsettles the assumption that human perception, language, and social order provide the only valid scale. Through publishing and constructed civic forms, my work stays with the distance between what is lived and the versions humans make of it.

MILK MILK VOL.01

MILK MILK Vol.01 is a small, hand-bound zine containing six silent black-and-white stories. Each story begins with cropped details that suggest a sequence, before a wider scene changes what appeared to have happened. A black rat terrier, Milk moves through dairy-filled situations as a sincere observer—attentive and curious, but never placed above the worlds she encounters.

MILK TV VOL.01

MILK TV Vol.01 is a paper-built television program presented through a series of pop-up scenes. Milk appears across the broadcasts as a participant, interviewer and observer, moving through different human spaces and situations. The programs range from an art fair and Milk’s televised “LOVE LIES” declaration to a rush on giant-baby products and a “Best Milk” fan convention.

MILK TV PRESS VOL.02

MILK TV PRESS Vol.02 is a printed special issue derived from MILK TV. As MASTER TT, the Master of Human Domestication, makes his formal debut, the paper follows shifts in public opinion across MILK CITY after city idol Milk’s controversial remarks. Tabloid reports, official notices and reader responses trace how the incident spreads through the city, alongside Milk and TT’s casual disregard for human rules.

MILK MILK VOL.02

MILK MILK Vol.02 continues Milk’s exploration, through dairy products, of the spaces humans inhabit and the forms their existence takes. Over the course of these stories, Milk is gradually affected by the environments she moves through, and her position as an outside observer begins to shift.

MILK TV VOL.03

MILK TV Vol.03 returns to the paper-built television format, with TT joining the cast and Milk appearing only intermittently. As attention gathers around Milk’s absence, repetition and public appetite begin to generate events of their own.

AUTHENTIC - MILK CITY SURVIVAL GUIDE

AUTHENTIC is a printed tourism and survival guide to MILK CITY. Transport systems, districts, civic offices, media, food, festivals, passports and public notices are assembled into an official-looking route through the city.

MILK & TT VALENTINE COLLABORATION

MILK CITY Valentine Special brings together TT’s Illusion Show and MILK RADIO, approaching human love from two different angles: performance and critique.

MILK TV PRESS VOL.04

Continuing from MILK TV Vol.03, MILK TV PRESS Vol.04 follows Milk and TT as the city’s most wanted pair, drawing a failed ceremony, an open case, and an unremovable X into the same round of headlines and speculation. Watched from every angle but still impossible to place, they remain outside the roles repeatedly assigned to them.

MILK CITY PASSPORT

The MILK CITY Passport is officially issued by MILK CITY and includes two passport booklets, corresponding information pages for Milk and TT, and related tickets. The passports can also be used as stamp books for collecting stamps at offline events, including the annual MILK CITY visa and limited-edition stamps.
