| Hello, I am an illustrator who explores the profound truth between everyday happiness and rare fortune through storytelling art. My work centers around the 'Chromyo Universe.' The name 'Cromyo' mythically combines 'Cro' (from Cross, reflecting the symmetry of a four-leaf clover and the gesture of making a wish) and 'Myo' (卯, the zodiacal rabbit representing spring and renewal). The core philosophy of this universe lies in a vital premise: while a three-leaf clover means 'happiness,' a four-leaf clover represents 'luck' that blooms at a mere 1-in-10,000 chance from those very three-leaf clovers. Cromyo is a gentle rabbit who patiently tends to ordinary three-leaf clovers. By nurturing this widespread happiness with deep devotion, Cromyo allows the miraculous 1-in-10,000 luck to naturally awaken and bloom atop its head—proving that true luck is never chased blindly, but is born from the everyday happiness we faithfully cultivate. The 10 artworks submitted are visual chapters of this heartwarming journey. A Midsummer Night's Dream The Clear Spring
On a sweltering summer night, Cromyo fell into a dream. Perhaps it began when Cromyo visited the lakeside to cool off from the heat and gazed at the beautifully twinkling stars. The mesmerizing stars whispered gently into Cromyo's ear, "Come closer, Cromyo! We'll show you something wonderful. Follow us!"
A Midsummer Nights Dream Have You Been Waiting for Me Cromyo
Perhaps because it was a dream, Cromyo found itself following the softly whispering, twinkling stars. After wandering for a while under a sky where stars poured down beautifully, Cromyo encountered a black rabbit standing beneath the starlight. "Have you been waiting for me, Black Cromyo?"
A Midsummer Night's Dream Romantic Flight
The twinkling stars said to the Cromyos, "Let's travel the night sky wonderfully together! Hold hands tight!" At the stars' words, Black Cromyo and Cromyo held hands tightly and closed their eyes. A wind blew, and when they gently opened their eyes again, they were amazingly crossing the lake of stars together with the twinkling stars.
On the Way to Meet the Alchemist Cromyo
Receiving a letter from the little letter-carrier bird asking them to befriend the lonely 'Alchemist Cromyo,' the Cromyos set off toward his tower. Although the forest path to the tower was so densely wooded and dark that they could hardly see ahead even at midday, the golden clovers blooming along the path shone brightly, guiding the Cromyos on their way.

Passing through the dark forest, the Cromyos finally arrived where the Alchemist lived. Even outside the woods, the sky was obscured by artificial gray clouds without a single ray of sunlight, but the golden clovers continued to point toward a high hill like guideposts. When they reached the top of the hill, a tall tower stood before them, and its doors swung open as they approached. Inside was a spiral staircase leading to the top floor, with walls filled to the brim with bookshelves holding tens of thousands of books. Though the interior was dark, the light of the golden clovers still guided them as they began their ascent.
The Alchemist Cromyo
The Cromyos encounter the 'Alchemist Cromyo,' who possesses tangled yet soft curly brown hair, deep blue eyes, a long robe, and a monocle. Though intellectually beautiful, his lifeless eyes, deep dark circles, dry white fur, and irritable scowl reveal that he is deeply unwell, with a strangely unnatural artificial golden clover atop his head. The Alchemist Cromyo speaks: "The Sage's Clover is known as the most beautiful clover in the world. I want to create it by mobilizing all the knowledge, materials, and techniques in the world. Yet, I haven't succeeded despite hundreds of attempts. I desperately need it... I heard rumors that you create truly beautiful clovers. Please, give me advice for my research."
Defeating the Dragon
The Traveler Cromyo shares the tale of his adventure, where he defeated a wicked, fire-breathing dragon that had terrorized people for thousands of years inside a deep cave. Despite the dragon's colossal size and terrifying flames, the Traveler Cromyo subdued the beast in an instant with a hero's sword. The grateful villagers threw a 100-day feast in his honor. The Traveler Cromyo then proudly showed the wound he received from the fierce battle—which turned out to be just a tiny, minor scratch.
Whale Fall The Last Whale Jump
"Watch closely, Cromyo! This will be the most magnificent final jump of my life!” The whale dived deep under the sea with Cromyo, then surged upward at tremendous speed, leaping splendidly above the water. The whale’s jumping did not end with just one; after leaping multiple times in place and coming to a halt, amazingly, the positions of the sky and the sea were flipped upside down. Now, there was a whale swimming excitedly high up in the sky, with the ocean stretching out right above its head. It was truly a mystical and marvelous experience.
