Bunnies Matching in Terno, Day
The artwork is a play on its title in Filipino: “Magternong mga Kunehong Nakaterno” in which two definitions of terno are used. First is matching, as the bunnies dress alike, and second is as a term to describe the set of traje de mestiza each bunny is wearing. During the day they are by the field of grass.

The artwork’s title in Filipino: “Magternong mga Sorong Nakabarong” means two foxes wearing matching barong tagalogs. They’re seen walking fondly together during sunset.
Spicy Words Borne Fruit from Arguing
In Filipino, words are described as “maanghang” or spicy when they’re said in anger. As two farmers argue, or have an “alitan”, these words grow to become spicy fruits of a labuyo chili plant.
Fragrant Words Blossomed from Courtship
In Filipino, words are described as “mahalimuyak” or fragrant when said lovingly. As two farmers court each other, or have a “suyuan”, such words exchanged blossom to become the fragrant flowers of an ylang-ylang tree.
