Above the Alley

A dark alley with silhouetted figures and an open window framed by fresh sunlight. The contrast of shadow and light suggests the need for moments of calm, away from the crushing crowds, within urban areas.

Suspended

A pillar standing in the center of an abandoned open area that has been reclaimed by nature and sunlight. This piece depicts how loss of human presence can lead to silence and isolation, even in architectural spaces.

Beauty within

Even things that have been crushed, broken or destroyed still possess beauty when brought together. This artwork explores pressed and damaged flowers, showing how small fragments can create something vibrant and harmonious.

Transformation

Beauty can be found in imperfections. Inspired by a flower that has been stepped on multiple times, it explores how destruction and fragility can create unique forms of beauty.

Trash talk

Some people constantly talk about making a change but never take action. The crushed words spilling from the mouth symbolize empty promises and meaningless statements that lose their value over time.

Consumption

People consume products and discard them just as quickly. By transforming a familiar everyday object into a damaged and distorted form, the artwork explores the cycle of consumption, waste, and neglect.

Rivalry

Two iconic rival soda brands are presented through crushed cans. The distorted forms emphasizes competition, conflict and pressure to stand out to win customers.

Sweet under pressure

Colourful sweets and are presented, distorted, through transparent plastic. The compressed candies created realism texture, highlighting the sweets to become more visually engaging.

Streetlight

Inspired from the idea of being completely crushed by fear and helplessness. In those desperate times, even a faint moment of hope and comfort can be valuable—similar to a streetlight in the middle of the dark.

Illumination

A street lamp illuminating a pitch-black area crushed by darkness.
