Casa Sera is a personal project I created with the intention of producing paintings and home decor that evoke a sense of warmth and approachability. In its early stages, the project focused primarily on watercolor as the main medium.

The name “Casa Sera” means House of Dusk. To me, dusk is more than just a time of day. It is a state of mind, a quiet nest where the day gently melts into calm.

The Milkmeow

Inspired by Vermeer’s The Milkmaid, this work reimagines the iconic scene through a chubby cat. By replacing the original figure with a familiar feline character, the painting brings a touch of humor and warmth to a well-known image while celebrating the timeless appeal of classical art.

The Menaced Amusement

Inspired by René Magritte’s The Menaced Assassin, this painting reimagines the iconic scene through the world of cats and dogs, transforming its tension into a playful and humorous narrative.

The Pawtraits

This series consists of portraits of dogs and cats portrayed in different professions, each with its own personality and story.
I enjoy imagining what familiar companion animals might look like if they lived lives similar to ours. By combining observations of animal behavior with fictional character-building, these portraits explore the charm, individuality, and quiet humanity that we often see in the animals around us.

Loop of Thought

The dog waits for the cat.
The cat waits for the mouse.
And I lie in bed thinking the same thoughts.
Maybe we’re all stuck in our own little loops.
