| Hello, my name is Azri Phumisrirungkitti, but you can call me Mim. I am a contemporary artist from Thailand whose work combines traditional Thai artistic influences with modern popular culture. This series reimagines Bangkok as a city where dinosaurs and humans live together in everyday life. Rather than portraying dinosaurs as dangerous prehistoric creatures, I present them as friends, companions, and members of society. They ride through the city, share meals, practice Muay Thai, create art, and express their own personalities just like people do. Through these playful and imaginative scenes, I explore themes of friendship, coexistence, and the beauty of diversity. By blending Thai visual aesthetics with contemporary storytelling, I hope to create a world that feels both familiar and unexpected, inviting viewers to see everyday life through a different perspective.I believe imagination can make the impossible feel familiar. Through this series, I invite viewers to imagine a Bangkok where humans and dinosaurs coexist in harmony, celebrating friendship, creativity. |
