I’m Sungkyou Bae, an illustrator who captures the dazzling, irreplaceable moments of life with the warmth and depth of analog textures.

For the past 10 years, I’ve been creating illustrations that have resonated with a wide audience. Based in Korea, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with a variety of brands including Samsung Electronics, Kakao, Beanpole, Outback, Pascucci, Amorepacific, and McDonald’s.

Through my work, I hope to preserve the fleeting yet precious moments of everyday life—so that each scene, no matter how ordinary, can feel like a frame from a beloved film or animated story.
Moments that are quietly beautiful, yet deeply personal.

Season of Fate

n that season, you were my most beautiful coincidence. These memories will forever remain in my youth, and if I could go back in time, I would still wait for you there.

The Youth Jet Lag

Inspired by the film Your Name Engraved Herein, I painted the love and lingering regrets of our youth. Like a rewinding cassette tape, we replay the summer breeze of a time we can never return to.

In the Same Place

Words are often unnecessary when hearts align. Looking up at the vast night sky, the two share a profound silence, finding comfort in the simple fact that they are breathing in the same moment, looking in the same direction.

Us, Back Then

There is a fleeting season in life when we believe we can outrun time itself. This is an ode to the breathless, radiant days of youth, capturing the pure exhilaration and the bittersweet realization that these golden moments will eventually become distant memories.

Till the End of the Snow

When the snow falls, the bustling world seems to hold its breath. I wanted to illustrate that magical, isolating tranquility where time stands still, allowing us to wander through a fairy-tale landscape hidden within the heart of the city.

I'll Wait for You in the Future

Pedaling against the ocean breeze, they carry the weightless anticipation of tomorrow. It portrays the unspoken promise of youth—moving forward into the unknown, trusting that no matter how much changes, their shared path will lead them to each other again.

Still Falling

Like a music box playing its beautiful, final tune. As the snow falls endlessly, the world blurs away, leaving only the two of them suspended in an ephemeral romance—a bittersweet realization that this perfect moment is merely a fleeting dream.

Late Check-out

A cinematic pause hovering in a dimly lit room. The discarded motel key, the disconnected phone, and the unfinished wine speak volumes of an abrupt departure or lingering secrets—a snapshot of a deeply personal, sorrowful narrative left behind.

Exit 12, Seoul Station

Standing at the threshold between the familiar past and an overwhelming future. The towering, majestic summer clouds reflect both the weight of uncertainty and the breathless anticipation of stepping into a new chapter of life.

What If We

Beneath the overwhelming presence of summer clouds, two figures stand suspended in hesitation. It visualizes the heavy, unspoken 'what ifs' that linger in the air—the beautiful yet painful tension of emotions standing right on the edge of confession.
