The Visitor
Set during Japan’s Edo period, which coincided with Thailand’s Ayutthaya era, this work depicts a visitor from Thailand, blending Thai cultural elements with the aesthetics of Japanese Ukiyo-e. Chains and Free will
This work explores the tension between chains and free will. The chains symbolize the human mind, entangled by its own thoughts and beliefs, while the burning skeleton represents the pain shared by humanity.
