Natchalai Sukamongkol aka Crunchy M. is a copywriter by trade, but somewhere along the way, her words sprouted ears, eyes, and tails. And wandered into a world of doodles.

Her illustrations often begin with a bit of wordplay or a flash of visual pun: an outline that looks like an animal, or a phrase that flips into a creature. From these sparks, her quirky beings are born. They are hybrid animals, pun-based characters, and wide-eyed objects that seem oddly alive. They live in a playful realm between magical realism and silliness.

Drawn with a simple, instinctive hand, her art leans more on joy than technique. It’s not about perfection. It’s about small ideas that spark smiles, bring surprise, and offer the delight of seeing language take shape. Because in her universe, people, animals, and things all belong to the same friendly, mischievous world.

Hornmaid

Meet Hornmaid. A playful twist on hornbill, which in Thai literally reads as “bird + mermaid.” And just like her name, that’s exactly how she came to life: a creature born from a pun and a dash of daydreaming.

With wings made for soaring and a tail made for splashing, she refused to choose. Why settle for sky or sea when she can have both? She flaps, she floats, and she’s free.

Because names carry magic, and hers imagined her into existence.
Now, if you’re ready… maybe it’s time to flap your wings too.

Peking Duck

Everyone knows Peking Duck. That crispy, succulent icon of Chinese cuisine.
But what happens when language takes the lead… and the dish hatches into something delightfully cute?

Say it out loud in Thai and the pun takes flight: Ped (duck) + Puk (to plant/stick) + Ging (stems). Suddenly, a famous dish sprouts leaves. Culinary meets foliage, and a quirky creature waddles out from a wordplay garden.

A taste of language, a dash of imagination.
Bon appétit… or should we say, bon “plant‑etit.”

Boarrest

A pig. A forest. A pun in full bloom.

In Thai, “Moo Pha” literally means Pig + Forest—or simply, “boar.” But here, the words sprouted imagination. Instead of a pig living in the forest, she became the forest:
legs like sturdy trunks, a tail puffed with leaves, and pink blossoms blooming along her bark.

Who knew a pig could branch out this much?
Now that’s a true forest animal. Oink oink…  rustle rustle.

Starpard

In English, it’s a leopard.
In Thai, it’s Suea Dao, literally, Tiger Star.

And when language is taken at its word, something magical happens: the Starpard is born.
Imagine the stars refusing to stay in the sky, tumbling one by one onto the back of a feline who mistook translation for transformation.

Still fierce. Still prowling.
Just with a little extra sparkle.

Tiger Prawn

Half roar, half crunch. It's 100% Tiger Prawn.

This cheeky creature never chose between land or sea; it chose both, living its best surf‑and‑turf life. Spot it in the waves or wandering the woods, and give a friendly wave.
It’ll answer back with a tiny rawrrr~

Pelican Pie

Dessert, anyone? Pelican Pie is flying fresh out of the oven!

Baked with the finest ingredients of language, a generous scoop of pecan pie, a pinch of pelican, and a whole lot of imagination. It’s flaky, nutty, and just a little… feathery.

One bite won’t be enough.
But don’t worry, there’s always piiieeeekan.

Camel Macchiato

It’s coffee time! It's the sacred moment of the day!
But this cup comes with a twist. Forget caramel…

This season, we’re serving Camel Macchiato:
a bold blend of beans topped with two humps of whipped cream.

Take a sip, feel the desert sand under your feet,
and let this cup of surprise make you go:
“Aaahhmchiato”.

Croissong

This isn’t just a croissant. It’s a Croissong.

Born from a buttery mix of breakfast and melody, this flaky fellow doesn’t just rise… it sings. Each leg poses like a dancing note on the music sheet, ready to perform straight from the oven.

Take a bite, and your morning hits a delicious high note:
Do‑re‑mi‑faa‑ke~

Barkguette

Say bonjour to BarkGuette, your daily dose of carbs and cuddles.

This crunchy companion is part dog, part baguette, and 100% baked to bring joy. Born from a pun and a sprinkle of silliness, this golden loaf doesn’t just sit on your plate. It wags, it woofs, and it warms your heart.

Grab a slice, give it a pat, and don’t forget to say:
Bon‑woof‑tit!

Eyeapple

Born from a juicy mix‑up of “pineapple” + “eye” and a Thai saying that goes, “to have eyes and ears like a pineapple.”

With a hundred eyes (and maybe a few extra), this tropical buddy is always alert, always watching, and always just a little curious.

So if you ever need a friend who sees everything…
Eyeapple is here. Blink blink~
