SXO296 is an urban design architect of Suratthani Base whose artistic practice explores character creation, emerging technologies, Web3, and virtual worlds He believes that art can be developed as a system structured yet imaginative, alive in both real and imagined spaces. His works behave like living beings, shifting and evolving through cultural context, data systems, and audience interaction.
His twin alien characters, Kwan&Liam, are genderless, wordless beings from an unknown planet. They share a deep emotional rhythm that connects them beyond language. Inspired by squids, Southern Thai shadow puppetry (nang talung), and local culture, the two reflect mirrored dualities. Kwan is playful and vibrant, while Liam is quiet, raw, and complex.
SXO296’s storytelling doesn’t follow a straight line. Much like a city, his universe is filled with intersections, contradictions, and grey zones waiting to be explored by each viewer. His evolving world spans from animation and installation to interactive experiences across online platforms and the metaverse.
As the world moves into a more decentralized future, art may no longer be just about performance or display. It becomes a space for possibility, where humans and non-humans alike can explore, question, and coexist creatively. |
