Herbaria Studio is the spin-off art project of Benyakan Pongkitwitoon, a Bangkok-based Assistant Professor and science communicator who teaches botany and medicinal plant studies.

Herbaria Studio transforms real plants—wildflowers, balcony blooms, farewell bouquets, any plants—into pressed works of art. Each leaf and petal is carefully preserved using herbarium techniques, then reimagined into collages and illustrations that tell new stories.

All the stars are a-bloom with flowers

“If you love a flower that lives on a star, it is sweet to look at the sky at night. All the stars are a-bloom with flowers...”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Botanical Neighborhood

Botanical Neighborhood is a zine that explores the overlooked greenery of Bangkok’s everyday streets. It features common plants found in local neighborhoods—growing from sidewalks and public parks—accompanied by botanical insights and personal observations.

Seeing Green Differently

Seeing Green Differently is a zine that offers a gentle introduction to botany through everyday observations. Seeing Green Differently is designed to help readers notice the patterns, shapes, and structures of plants around them.

Botanical Neighborhood: a solo exhibition

Outdoor decoration for my first solo exhibition at Somewhere, Pradipat 17.
These designs begin with real plants—carefully pressed and preserved as herbarium specimens—collected from Bangkok’s neighborhoods.
Each specimen was scanned and digitally redesigned into outdoor display sticker format.
