My art style as Sleepybeee, shows delicate lines that camouflage a multitude of narratives, inviting interpretation. Beneath the serene portrayal of flowers, nature, and diverse fauna in soft hues, the illustrations subtly address themes ranging from societal concerns to mental health, and personal experiences.

The Collection of Butterflies in A Sentimental Garden

The collection of Fictional butterflies inspired by emotions and feelings. Each of butterflies portray moods and tones of the emotions which ones may face on a daily basis. This collection comes along with short stories in a zine version. The stories are mainly about a normal life but with problematic issues such as misogynistic and homophobic society, patriarchy, and mental health.

Spotted

A normal capture of tree saplings growing on the cement floor, but can you spot the little creatures? Representing the tiny ecosystem overshadowed by the concrete jungle.

Wavy Grass

Malaysian grass on sandy soil. look how grown well it is, giving me something by just looking at it, an emotional support one.

A Bunch of Luck

On the unnoticing piles of leaves, a bunch of ladybugs is gathered. Doesn’t the ladybug represents luck? Many like this, the huge LUCKS definitely come to whoever see it.

I draw, I am

An illustration participating under the concept ‘I draw, I am’ by Pop Up Asia. The metronome swinging aggressively between proud (what a gifted! That’s hella gorgeous.) and down (arghh! Looking like garbage jeez!), which are the two typical mood swing of being an artist.

Mulberry

A local berry, best for making jam.

Roselle

A local herb, typically used for making juice which suits the best in summer.

Tangled

The Morning Glory, a local plant found in my mom’s garden. Seedling from the middle of nowhere but apparently is my fence decorative now. Tangle vines, tangled me from being addicted to looking at it.

Drown Down

Feeling so frustrated and overwhelmed are like drowning in the water. Can’t breathe, keep sinking. Down. Down.. Is anyone out there..?

Hidden

The illustration is inspired by the mother of pearl inlay furniture. An abstract form of leaves, flowers, and ropes, are clearly seen elements by looking near. By looking far, the form of the wasp is hidden.
