My Quarantine Monsters
During the first COVID-19 lockdown, I created these 30 monsters to make everyday I stayed home more meaningful (and also to keep myself sane). Each one was inspired by different aspects of quarantine from stocking up on pricey eggs, not being able to get a haircut to hugging a bottle of alcohol gel.

Moo~ Time to fight back COVID with... COWID! This is my take on turning a scary pandemic into something fun and light-hearted. Because..all the cows are here to shake your fear away!
Bad Luck, Go Away!
From Nang-kwak to three-colored fabric (ผ้าสามสี) to a holy talisman (หมอผี), these monsters were inspired by Thai religious/spiritual beliefs. They want to cast your bad luck away and only bring you forever fortune.
Thip-Thai | ธิบไทย
'Thip-Thai' is a character based on Thailand's political situation where people used the three-finger salute to call for democracy. At one point, it was illegal to show this symbol in public so I made the character holds a rose and a stick of fish balls to pretend like the three fingers.. is not really a three-finger salute. The one on the right with a ducky hat and blue paint over his head represents an incident where the military sprayed suspicious blue liquid at an unarmed citizens while we only have giant rubber ducks to protect ourselves.
Tropical Memu & Mamua
Memu & Mamua is a mascot of MeMiann Studio. The design of their heads mimics letter 'M' in the word 'MeMiann' and in this illustration, they're wearing a tropical-themed clothing for an event.
Maneki Neko | มาเน่สิ เหมียว
Love! Happiness! Knowledge! Money! These 8 Lucky Cats were designed to stand for 8 different fortunes. Each cat has different symbols and elements incorporated on them to represent each particular meanings. For example, a pink cat is doing a mini heart on the left hand with Red Thread of Fate (ด้ายแดง) curling up its tail to, hopefully, call in love and a romantic partner.

MeMiann Studio is filled with fun & oddly adorable illustrations drawn by 'Memi'. This brand is her world, her little parallel universe where each of her characters get to have their own stories.
Since the day MeMiann Studio was founded back in 2018, more than 250 monsters were created and released into the world(!) as stickers, masking tapes, postcards and pins. Memi believes that small objects can easily blend into your everyday life and by holding MeMiann Studio products in your hands, you're taking part of her imagination with you :)
