Linnatamm is an illustrator who captures daily emotions and expresses them through a character named "Nimm." This character symbolizes thoughts and feelings that gradually take shape, becoming a tangible presence that reveals itself to us. Even though emotions are intangible, they are undeniably real, no matter how small they may be. Nimm serves as a reminder of the significance and existence of our feelings in everyday life.

"The Tuberose in my heart blooms, breaking through its concealment every night."

This piece is one of three works showcased in the "LET HER BLOOM" group exhibition. The set draws inspiration from three inauspicious Thai flowers, which, according to Thai beliefs, often bear names with positive connotations for women but contradict traditional gender norms in Thailand's past.

This particular work focuses on the "Sorn Klin" (Tuberose) flower, symbolizing secret admiration or love—feelings considered inappropriate for women in traditional Thai society, where openly expressing affection was frowned upon. Despite these societal constraints, these emotions are real and present. The piece encourages embracing and acknowledging one's feelings, suggesting that even if one tries to suppress them, they will inevitably grow and reveal themselves.

One day, the traces of me will disappear.

No matter how clear those feelings once were, or how deeply they left their mark on the heart, one day, even the strongest traces will eventually fade away.

My Pencil cactus grew in its own way—some branches broke, while others tangled together. But as long as there's light, it finds a reason to keep growing, doesn't it?

Growth has no set pattern—there are mistakes, confusion, and back-and-forth. It's all a natural part of the process.

Today, you did really well. You did your best!

Every day, you do your best. Be satisfied with yourself and appreciate your efforts. Reward yourself without waiting for anyone else to acknowledge you.

All problems are oversized.

Don’t underestimate other people’s problems as being easy or trivial. Don’t compare whose problems are easier to solve. When a problem affects someone, it always feels overwhelming to them.

You are an extraordinary kind of ordinary.

Pad kra pao is a staple dish for Thais. It’s a go-to meal, so familiar that just thinking about it brings the taste to mind. It’s not surprisingly delicious or risky in terms of taste, as it’s something we’ve grown accustomed to. Yet, it remains a perfectly comforting dish. We all have someone in our hearts who gives us a feeling similar to enjoying a simple, heartwarming plate of pad kra pao.

"What do you like about yourself?"

Have you ever asked yourself what you like about yourself? Do you know the answer? Don’t wait for others to tell you what they like about you. Just knowing what you like about yourself is enough

Set me free from this confusion.

All the confusion that arises can only be resolved by me letting myself out of it.

Mewhmuk inside me

The piece is featured in the Metro Art Exhibition Group Series 4, titled "The Untold Adventures of Meow." In this work, I express my story through the character Mewhmuk—a black cat born from ink. Mewhmuk represents the sadness and sorrow I experienced during my high school years, a difficult period when I felt trapped by my emotions and unable to escape. I learned that if we can't escape from sadness, we must learn to befriend it. Mewhmuk thus symbolizes the acceptance of sadness, acknowledging its existence, and learning to make peace with it.
